Language offers for adults
Language is one of the most essential components of our everyday lives. It contributes to our active participation in our social lives and enables us to fulfill our everyday requirements as well as building relationships through learning each other’s language. At the CIC we offer language courses at all levels and our language swap is an informal way to practise a foreign language. At our Italian and Spanish weekly “language workshops” at our Villach office you are invited to practise those languages at any level. But that’s not all: we also organise fun get-togethers hosted by native speakers especially for children.
Morning German Courses
Course B2
Objectives: This advanced German course is for learners who have completed B1 and want to reach B2. It enhances reading, listening, writing, and speaking skills through various exercises, deepens grammar, and expands vocabulary. Using the textbook "Fokus Deutsch. Erfolgreich in Alltag und Beruf B2. Österreich," the course prepares students for the B2 ÖIF test. Achieving B2 level is crucial for recognizing foreign qualifications, further education, and can help apply for Austrian citizenship after six years. *Eine Unterrichtseinheit (im Folgenden kurz "UE") dauert 60 Minuten und besteht aus 50 Minuten Unterricht und 10 Minuten Pause.

The focus is on expanding vocabulary, refining grammar, and strengthening speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. Participants will learn to express opinions, understand the main points of conversations and texts on familiar topics, and write coherent texts such as emails or short reports. Course material: Pluspunkt Deutsch. Leben in Österreich. Eine Unterrichtseinheit (im Folgenden kurz "UE") dauert 60 Minuten und besteht aus 50 Minuten Unterricht und 10 Minuten Pause.

Course A2+ Conversation
Objectives: This conversation course aims at improving your speaking skills. Speaking practice with a partner, in small or larger groups will help you to express yourself more fluently in German. You will gain confidence to better master everyday life situations. Our topics are Austrian, with an emphasis on practical information, culture, history and geography. While the topics are regional, we work on vocabulary exercises, useful phrases and dialogue simulations. Simultaneously we will review and strengthen your German grammar.
